Incarnation

Our passion is to not only proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but to live it as well. Our vision is to implant ourselves into the community, in which we live. To the Germans, we will become German. We foresee our active involvement in the community through such activities as poverty relief, racial reconciliation, and other social concern. All of this so that we can provide people with a living apologetic to the grace, peace, love, and restoration found only in Jesus Christ. Paul said it best when he wrote, "I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel that I may share in its blessings." (1 Cor. 9:22-23)

Jesus emptied himself of his glory so that he might bear the image of the Father to a lost and broken people. He lived, loved, and ministered in the dirty and uncomfortable places of people's lives, and it is in this same way that Jesus calls his Church today to reach out to this searching and hurting world. We are to be the hands and feet of Jesus himself. As the western world embraces post-modernism, the traditional apologetic of reason and words has less and less value. It is the good deeds of the Gospel that scream out the truth of the Gospel to anyone who is watching, so that when we do speak the words that must be spoken, we have a powerful witness to these words in our deeds.
