No Longer Unemployed
by Kevin C · Thursday, March 22, 2007

Some exciting news on multiple fronts has happened recently. First off, we found out today that both Kathi and I now have part-time jobs! We'll both be working at the YMCA in New Philadelphia! We can't tell you how much of a relief this has been. We have never been in dire need since being back, but this assures that we'll have provision for our time here in Ohio. Second, we'll be heading out tomorrow on a support raising trip. The most exciting meeting we'll be having is with a church in Pennsylvania that was referred to us by another missionary couple with GEM. They are really excited about our ministry and we'll be meeting them for the first time on Monday. Please be specifically praying for safety on the road and all of our appointments this coming week.

Job Front News
by Kevin C · Monday, March 12, 2007

We received some very good news today on the job front. We got a call from the YMCA, and they let us know they're interested in interviewing us. So, on Thursday both of us are going into New Philadelphia to have an interview with their hiring manager. Praise God! The exciting news is that it looks like both Kathi and I will be able to work there. It looks like we'll be able to get the schedule we want in exchange for working at least one night a week. Please be praying for the interview on Thursday and that God would open up a position there.

Things Looking Up
by Kevin C · Monday, March 05, 2007

For everyone that's been praying for us, thank you! I think we're starting to get some of the momentum back that we had lost when we moved. In the past week or so, we've gotten 6 new supporters! Most of them are still praying about how much they want to support us, but we're starting to see some major movement. Continue to pray for us in all this.

This afternoon, Kathi and I met with a friend from Trinity, Miranda Wenger. She's a wonderful woman who's just a few weeks away from graduating from her undergrad (I was Miranda's admission counselor at Trinity four years ago). She's actually from this area of Ohio, so she's going to help us hook up with churches and individuals around here.

Miranda's enthusiasm is so encouraging to us. Of course, it's awesome when people decided they want to support what God is going to do in Europe. But, the most encouraging thing is when people take such ownership of this vision, that they not only become supporters but support raisers with us. I can't even tell you how much that means to us. Our hearts are so full of thanksgiving for everyone who has partnered with us through their prayers, giving, and sacrifices of time. Thank you.
