Indianapolis Update
by Kevin C · Friday, June 20, 2008
Now that our blogging issues have been resolved, I thought I'd fill you guys in on how things are going in Indianapolis. So far it's been pretty slow going. We've made some good contacts with two churches in the area, and both are helping us connect with people in their congregations and other pastors in the area. Mostly means building new relationships with people. So, we haven't seen much fruit toward support thus far, but we have been meeting some amazing people, which is encouraging in itself. The best part of our time here so far has been the spiritual renewal we've been experiencing. Living in the apartment here has been the first time in over a year and a half that we've had our own place to live (kind of). It's been so refreshing to at least pretend we're adults again. It has given us time to really seek His face through all of this. He's been bringing both of us to a place of yieldedness that I don't think we've ever experienced. And, we're seeing that no matter what happens with support that His purposes for this journey have been much more important than just money. We're waking up every day actually thankful for support raising! Crazy. God is so good. The picture is Kathi in front of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. We took a free day and enjoyed walking around this amazing art museum.
