Walnut Grove Chapel
by Kevin C · Tuesday, June 24, 2008

Things have been a bit more encouraging here in Indianapolis the last couple of days. On Sunday we spoke and sang at the Walnut Grove Chapel, which is the church of one of supporters here in Indy. Everyone we talked to was really encouraging and there were even a few people who wanted to hear more about what we're doing. Please be praying that God would continue to open up those relationships.

We can tell you how much fun it has been meeting all of these new people and developing some wonderful relationships! It's been a while since we've been in a position where we've had to get to know so many new people. It has reminded us how much we love it. We are trusting that God will not only bless us with new friends but that He'll place the same burden for Europe on people's hearts as is on ours.

Indianapolis Update
by Kevin C · Friday, June 20, 2008

Now that our blogging issues have been resolved, I thought I'd fill you guys in on how things are going in Indianapolis. So far it's been pretty slow going. We've made some good contacts with two churches in the area, and both are helping us connect with people in their congregations and other pastors in the area. Mostly means building new relationships with people. So, we haven't seen much fruit toward support thus far, but we have been meeting some amazing people, which is encouraging in itself.

The best part of our time here so far has been the spiritual renewal we've been experiencing. Living in the apartment here has been the first time in over a year and a half that we've had our own place to live (kind of). It's been so refreshing to at least pretend we're adults again. It has given us time to really seek His face through all of this. He's been bringing both of us to a place of yieldedness that I don't think we've ever experienced. And, we're seeing that no matter what happens with support that His purposes for this journey have been much more important than just money. We're waking up every day actually thankful for support raising! Crazy. God is so good.

Blogging Issues
by Kevin C · Wednesday, June 18, 2008

I'm sorry that there hasn't been any updates in a while. We had some issues with Blogger where it would let us publish new posts. It's been frustrating because we've been wanting to let everyone know how things are going. Well, we finally figured out what the issue was and got it fixed, so Missio Colonia is back up and running. In the next couple of days we'll post some stories on how things are going in Indianapolis.

Encouraging Community Raising
by Kevin C · Sunday, June 01, 2008

We had an experience this weekend that reminded us that money is such a small part of the actual purposes that God has for our support raising. Yesterday, we drove up to Twinsburg and spent the evening with the Missions Committee of the Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church. It was a nice social time at one of the committee person's home. We ate tacos and talked about missions. But, during that time they all showed so much joy and love towards us that we came away so encouraged. We got to share with one another about our hearts for missions, and they even took the time to know who we were. It was great. God had such a blessing reserved for us last night. It helped us to remember that this type of fellowship and community is what support raising is all about.

Well, tomorrow we're heading off to Indianapolis for 4 to 6 weeks of support raising in the Hoosier state! Definitely be praying for this. We are still relying heavily on a few people to help us make new contacts in the area. We are hopeful that this time produces much fruit towards our support. But, God knows, and we trust that He has something for us there whether it's specifically support or not.
